Where can I get specific, detailed, and understandable information about whether or not the state, after my death, will liquidate my home to reimburse medicaid for medical bills and nursing home costs incurred by me while I am alive.
I own a home and want to leave it to my kids when I die but have been warned that if I go into a nursing home (and am on medicaid) that the state will liquidate my home once I die to reimburse medicaid. If so, how can I avoid this happening? How can I be
