Check out the Drudge Report for latest news on the disaster. A huge chlorine gas cloud emanating from an exploding, burning toxic waste plant is threatening the town of Apex and eastern North Carolina. Nursing homes and residential areas are being evacuated. A cold front moving in may spread the cloud to unknown areas in the next several hours. Breathing chlorine gas can lead to death.
