My mother works in a nursing home in North Carolina and recently a patient went "beserk" (her own words). He was kicking, fighting, screaming obsenities. well this is a long one.......... first off when i started working in this nursing home i saw a girl i was really attracted too. i have a drug conviction from a few years back & i have been clean since then. i am a registered nurse and so far have been turned down by 27 hospitals. i applied for a few non-nursing positions and still was not hired. i need to hear from other people with convictions or the people that do the hiring. being honest and explaining the circumstances has gotten me nowhere, so please don't respond saying that people "will understand" i really need to work and would be happy at any old retail

A huge chlorine gas cloud emanating from an exploding, burning toxic waste plant is threatening the town of Apex and eastern North Carolina. Nursing homes and residential areas are being evacuated. A cold front moving in may spread the cloud to unknown areas in the next several hours. Breathing chlorine gas can lead to death.

I am trying to fly my beloved Aunt Dede down from Pennsylvania to North Carolina. She has Muscular Dystrophy and has suffered from severe malnutrition which has advanced her condition. She is in a nursing home presently and we want to care for her here in our home. I don't know if she can fly on a 'regular' flight, perhaps she could if she could fly First Class. It was recommended that she take a flight with medical support, just to be safe.
Any information/advice would be a big blessing.

I recently spent ten days in the Smoky Mountains, both in Tennessee and North Carolina. When I returned home, my left foot was slightly swollen upon going to bed. When I woke up the next morning, the foot was no longer swollen, but rather my left hand was. I looked in the mirror and noticed swelling above my left eye as well as red blotches under my eyes.
