Resolved Question: SS Disability: denied 12 years ago, worked 10 years, now in bad shape?
(Sat, 04 Sep 2010 11:53:06 GMT)
This is long, but I really need help.
After a car accident 12 years ago I was denied SS Disability. (2 ruptured discs etc.) I did not pursue the SSDI. I worked through the pain, worked for the last 10 years (always in pain, but functioning) going from machinist to truck driver to dispatcher. My back pain was slowly getting worse. My last two jobs closed their doors (Michigan economy) and I collected unemployment and went to school to become a certified Pharmacy tech. (done with classes, just

(Sun, 15 Aug 2010 22:40:15 GMT)
so you would not use them, leave them at home when you had them, call that number, and say do not me credit offers, more than once?.
Did they keep sending you blank checks which you could just sign and cash.
Did you keep getting credit card offers? Did have work done of
necessity , household repairs, etc., and get over charged you by thousands.?
I think I have accounted for about $8000 so far. Their friends are sitting here, ones who benefitted from my enemies benevolence in the past.

Increasingly, employees are being allowed to choose benefit packages from a menu of items. For instance, workers may be given a package of benefits that includes basic and optional items. Basics might include modest medical coverage, life insurance equal to a year's salary, vacation time based on length of service, and some retirement pay. But then employees can use credits to choose among such additional benefits as full medical coverage, dental and eye care, more vacation time, additional di

Is there a company out there that insures unsecured credit card debt for banks that issue credit cards, or does the bank issuing the credit card take on the whole debt, eventually write-off the unpaid balance, then sell the unpaid debt to a collection agency? I have really bad credit history (because I used it to support myself and my mother), I haven't worked in a few years, and have not had enough money to make a payment plan/agreement. Also, I've been getting SSI (Social Security Insurance) and SSD (Social Security Disability) because of major depression, and other things. Well, since the end of last year I came off the medicine, and since then been getting my life back. I don't go to therapy (since last year) no more, and I've been doing great.

We weren't 100% ready but the night our landlord or the police did nothing about the druggie losers upstairs bought a gun to our front door we knew it was time to get out & get out fast. Last year, we were told that massive new federal spending would create more jobs 'immediately' and hold unemployment below 8%.
In the past year, over three million Americans have lost their jobs, yet the Democratic Congress continues deficit spending, adding to the bureaucracy, and increasing the national debt on our children and grandchildren. [McDonnell Prepared Remarks, 1/27/10

Voting Question: If you have lots of insurance, is an emergency fund really necessary?
(Fri, 04 Dec 2009 20:20:23 GMT)
We have employer-sponsored insurance, specifically: medical, dental, life, and AD&D. The medical and dental are COBRA-eligible. We also have auto, home and umbrella insurance, and will soon be purchasing individual life and disability policies. Additionally, if we lost our jobs, there would be some severance pay or unemployment. We also have a 3-mo. emergency fund. We pay our credit cards off every month. Our mortgage et al. loans account for 22% of our spending. Do we really need this

Resolved Question: Want my father to continue to pay child support when I go to college. What do I need to do?
(Wed, 18 Nov 2009 17:07:58 GMT)
I want my dad to pay for child support when I go away to college, because my mom (who has been my only parent for most of my life) is dirt poor (because of two disabilities and she's a displaced homemaker). I don't want to take money away from her, because she's barely staying afloat as it is, but there's no way I can handle a full-time job and going to school full-time.
I'm going to a community college for 6 months or so next year (because I will have most of the college credits I need for
