I was injured at work, didnt file workmans comp, now my doctor filed because of what I told her. Any advice?
It happened a year ago, and the pain has come and gone. My company has let people go after they have returned to work after being on Workman's comp, this is why I didn't file. I am afraid I may get charged with insurance fraud and be denied the disability that I already tried to file for. Please help.

You should get an attorney - maybe you can ask the doctor who they would recommend. You will not be charged with insurance fraud if you were injured at work. Many workers are afraid to report an injury, and some are terminated after the injury. But that's why we have the workers' comp system that protects the workers. You will likely be sent to some doctor - examiners that can examine your injuries and recommend treatment. If you are out of work and cannot work due to injuries, and your claim was denied, your doctor can certify you for state disability benefits.
So in summary, if you were legitimately injured at work, even if some time passed by, you should not be afraid. And even if you are denied workers' comp benefits, you can receive state disability (and insurance co will have to reimburse state for the expense later), and you will get treatment and in some cases some settlement if you have permanent disability. Just talk to someone - you can even call some lawyers or legal help from your phone book for a free consultation without signing with them. Good luck.
